What do Uncle Sam, Martians, knights in shining armor, an ole prospector, cavemen, King Tut, a fortune teller, ice fishing, auto racing, football, barnyard animals, leprechauns with pots of gold and creatures of the deep sea all have in common.
If you put your money on Video King’s latest gaming option – just to wager a guess – you’d win.
Tablets & Fixed Base!
They are all part of the dynamic themes offered in our newest product line – electronic pull-tabs, known industry-wide as e-TABS, now playable on Video King’s tablets and fixed-base units.
Not familiar … You’ll soon be. These gaming devices simply “mimic” how a paper pull-tab plays but on a computer, according to Will Stewart, a regional sales manager for Video King, by using a touch-screen.

Among First Portables
To make the transition from paper to electronics, Video King has partnered with World Touch Gaming, Inc. (WTG), a software company dedicated to developing fresh gaming concepts for the playing public.
Besides the high caliber of games, there’s also another aspect that sets Video King’s e-TABS apart.
“Video King’s partnership with World Touch Gaming is unique because it is among the first portable pull-tabs to be delivered into peoples’ hands. Others offer stand-up, slot-type cabinets,” Stewart said.
Thus far, there are 28 licensed games, with at least 15 more in development, with a variety of denominations and themes, according to Don Fiechter, president of WTG.
And, all the games, with their highly entertaining animation, catchy music, visual effects and variety of bonus rounds, can be customized to each specific location, meaning the game payout flares are configurable for jurisdictional requirements or hall preference, they said.
The games, available in player’s choice of 5-window, 3-window and 3x5 views, are yet another way hall owners and gaming operators can reach a larger segment of the population, helping generate more revenue.
Particularly younger generations and those more familiar with computer-screen interfaces and cell-phone apps, they said.
But that’s just one of the e-TABS benefits.
In addition to the variety of themes, there’s limited risk for gaming operators, meaning they don’t need to purchase product up front nor stock pile inventory.
And, not only is it “green,” or eco-friendly by saving trees, but – by also electronically manufacturing and delivering the deals – there are no shipping or printing costs, Fiechter said.
Plus, it’s easy to administer, he added. Video King’s e-TABS can be managed remotely. The system has a thermometer-like mechanism to monitor inventory, signaling when it’s time to load more deals.
How It Works
The gaming device is linked wirelessly to a server within a licensed venue and loaded with a set amount of credits, purchased by the players.
To obtain credits, players can either buy them at a self-serve kiosk or from the cashier, who credits them to their account.
“Once you’re out of credits, more can be loaded. When you’re ready to leave, and have any credits left, you simply cash in what’s remaining in your account,” Stewart said.
And here’s another bonus. Well, several, literally … Once you play, you’ll see what we mean.
Variety Of Bonus Rounds!
For starters, to trigger the bonus rounds, players do not need to wager the maximum bet (play the largest denomination). Some bonus rounds are inherent to a particular tab theme, like the ole prospector choosing his favorite “poison,” (whiskey bottles).
Other tabs offer a multiple-bonus, player-selectable option, allowing players to pick from spin-the-wheel to pick-to-win, pick-to-collect, and even an old Tarot card reader type of games to win.
So, if you want to see more fun and fortunes in your future, try your luck with Video King’s new e-TABS.
